I moved out of the area 5 years ago, and when i come in to visit my daughter she always takes me to local restaurants because i miss the great restaurants in Chicago.
I rarely go out for Italian food because i feel mine is always better. This restaurant kills it! The Pizza out of the pizza oven in the front of the restaurant was perfect, Appetizer of banana peppered stuffed with sausage was yummy and every entree was great in its own way. I had Sea Bass Francaise, there was meatballs and salad (very Italian) Veal Francaise and a Special of Braised Short Rib Ravioli which i thought was the star of the whole meal. The ravioli was in a mushroom cream sauce which did not overpower the rich flavor of the short rib in the ravioli. It was truly amazing.
Did i Mention the wait staff is also really good? They are.
Every time I visit Chicago, I will request a visit to this very local gem

Wow the food here is outstanding. We have been 3 times in the last couple of months and have never gotten anything bad. The staff is great. Sammy took care of us and made sure everything was perfect. If you are looking for a romantic night or a night out with friends this is a must. They also host a paint and pour night that is loads of fun. It’s Italian food that my Italian mother in law could have made. We have had the vodka pasta, the shrimp and scallops, the chicken parmigiana and the calzones. The seafood here is exceptional. Once you try this place you won’t want to go anywhere else.

Small but quaint Italian restaurant, with great martinis, the meatballs are the best I ever had, the woodfire pizzas are delicious, can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. My wife and I love this little gold mine.
